Anti-Discrimination and Discriminatory Harassment Policy and Procedures Training for Students

Addressing discrimination and harassment is essential to meeting our mission of teaching, creating, and advancing knowledge. As such, we have launched a required online training module on Columbia’s Anti-Discrimination and Discriminatory Harassment Policy and Procedures for Students (“the Policy”).

This required training will take approximately 60 minutes to complete and will help you understand:

  • How the Policy applies to both individual students and to recognized student groups;
  • How to report discrimination and discriminatory harassment, what happens after a report is filed, and the resources available to you;
  • How reports are resolved and potential outcomes for a finding of policy violations;
  • How reports about the behavior of student groups are evaluated and how sanctions are decided if there is a policy violation.

Please note that this training module is mandatory for all students who have not previously completed it.

You need to complete the entire training by February 27, 2026, or you may lose access to University systems.

If you are receiving emails requesting that you complete the course, it is because University records reflect that you are an enrolled student. If this is a mistake and you are no longer a student at the University, please reach out to your former department to ensure that your records are up to date. Completion of other trainings will not satisfy this training requirement.
